We offer readers and collectors a tech-free place to browse and enjoy books. Our 19th-century barn was once a builder's yard; now, it features two floors of books. The flower-filled yard also boasts a shepherds hut filled with secondhand books, and our Book Bower entranceway is a bargain-lovers paradise.
Prospero's Project, another building on the compound, is filled it antiquarian and rare volumes; it is open by chance and appointment. It also features a writers' room and a craft workshop space; and offer us space to support our Social Enterprise (last year we gave more than 3,000 new books to seven foodbanks, for their clients to take).
Our shop is nestled in a lovely Medieval village, itself a part of the South Downs National Park. Visitors enjoy a range of tearooms, antique shops, art galleries, pubs and restaurants.
